Corbin, and the biggest loser.

Since I didn't write last night, I feel extra compelled to write today. I took some pictures of Corbin today to post to his 2 year album on my facebook page. I can't believe how big he is (even though compared to another 2 year old he's not really THAT big. lol) He's getting so smart, and really showing his personality. He likes to stack blocks, and line up cars (always 3 at a time). He LOVES to draw! He gets that from his dad. I got him a new notebook, and washable crayons - I love you for those Crayola!- and he sat on the bed with me and started drawing. He would ask "Can I draw on that?" or "what's this?" he's so inquisitive. He's also trying more foods than I could have ever imagined, but doesn't stick with them long. He loves yogurt, but I guess he doesn't like the banana cream flavor I got him. So he ate fruit loops in stead. lol  I really hate that Stephen isn't here to hear him say his sentences, or play with him.  He walks around still, looking for "daddy". He knows he has two daddies, but he can't figure out why one of them isn't here.  And for some reason, I feel incredibly guilty. I have faith it's going to get better, and I pray that we don't have to re-introduce Stephen to Corbin. I know it would break his heart.

So on to my other part of the post :) Kim, Jordan and I are going to play the biggest loser starting...TODAY! I've done my first weigh in, and I first put the scale on the carpet and stepped on, it said 190. I almost died! So then I put it on the bathroom floor (its tile) and I weigh 166. Who would've thought that carpet added 25 lbs! I've decided to keep a diary for the duration of the time we plan to do this, just to see what I ate, and also to see where I can improve. I haven't picked an ideal weight goal for a 3 month period. I think if I could lose 10 lbs a month that would be awesome, but I just don't know if that's doable, or even healthy.  I'm just going to set the bar high, and if I lose any weight at all, I'll be okay with that! So stay tuned to see my progress :)

Thanks for reading...God Bless :)

  1. I know its hard, but just keep showing him pictures of Stephen.. keep telling him where he is.. keep trying.

Jack met Jeff when he was 2 days old, got to be with him for 2 weeks.. And then we didn't get to see daddy again for 10 months. And it took him about an hour to warm up to Jeff at homecoming and that was it. And he even said "dada" to him that day. Kids just know. When Corbin sees you lovin' on Stephen, that will tell him this is someone we love. It'll be okay, love!
